Hemmoroids Treatments

Hemroids Treatments & Causes Information

non-prescription echinacia topical cream for treatment of hemmoroids What causes hemroids? There are many triggers for hemoroids. The number one condition that causes hemmoroids is constipation. When straining to pass a large, hard stool, veins in the rectum swell. These swollen veins present themselves as hemmorhoids. Any pressure to the rectum will cause hemmroids. Pregnant women are extremely susceptible to hemroids because of the weight of the baby pushing down on the rectum.

Given that hemroids are caused by increased pressure on the anus or rectum, human upright posture is a perfect source of pressure. Sitting or standing for too long can cuase veins in the rectum to swell and bulge outside the anus. Lying down and decreasing the downward pressure can certainly help with hemroids, but is often not enough. Hemmroids can also be caused by the strain of producing bowel movements, cleaning or scrubbing the anal opening with abrasive force, and even sitting on the toilet for long periods of time. As people age they are more susceptible to hemmroids as their bowel movements become increasingly more difficult to pass and regularity is more difficult to come by. It is important that as people age, they get lots of fiber in their diet, drink plenty of liquids to avoid dehydration, maintainins soft stools that are easy to pass.

HOW TO CURE HEMROIDS?

Diet can be very effective at curing hemroids. Countries with high fiber diets have very low incidence of hemmoroids. Grains and vegetable fiber that is insoluble increases stool bulk and reduces the occurance of hemmorhoids. A simple combination of lots of water and a fiber supplement may be enough to cure hemmoroids.

HOW TO GET RID OF HEMMORIDS?

Drugs for Hemoroi ds may be effective at getting rid of hemrroids. There are many stool softeners and bulk laxatives on the market that can help to make hard stools easier to pass and prevent constipation. If you have painful, itchy, bloody hemroids, ointments and topical anesthetics are avaialable to help relieve the discomfort caused by hemmoroids.

A hemmorhoid may occur inside the anal canal or outside of the anus. Both may cause discomfort. A hemmorhoid that bursts open may cause the appearance of bloody stool. A bright red blood in the stool is not a cause for alarm as it is likely just the blood from the hemroid blood vessel but a brownish or less brightly colored blood on and especially in the stool may be from a condition other than hemroids and should be checked out by a physician as soon as possible.

Treaing Hemmoroids?

Echinacea is a common hmmroid treatment and is applied to the hemmorhoid with a cotton swab. Mixing echinacia in water and applying around the rectum and anal opening will provide hemmoroid relief but not cure a hemmoroid.

A hemorroid can disappear over time on its own, but in the case of a stubborn hemmoroid, a laser treatment, infrared light, or a surgical procedure known as a hemorroidectomy are used to get rid of hemmorroids. The surgical ligation of a hemoroid is the most effective and long lasting of the techniques. A hemmoroidectomy will require a local anasthetic to perform the hemmoroid removal procedure but will not require an over-night stay in general. After having the hemoroid removal surgery, individuals may be back to normal lifestyle within a weeks time.

So remember, eat a high fiber diet, do not rub to abrasively in the anal region, do not sit for too long on the toilet. If a hemoroid does present, try one of the many hemoroid ointments or hemmoroid lotions on the market. If the hemmoroid persists, a surgical hemmroidectomy may be required. For hemmorhoids during pregnancy, in most cases, the hemmoroids disappear after pregnancy is over. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions. And don't sit on your rear all day if you can help it. While some of you are medically restricted from movement, if you can walk even a few steps, get up and give your back side a break for a moment. It will thank you for it with fewer hemroid outbreaks.

I have got a hemmorhoid and it hurts to go to the bathroom. If I do not get it treated, can I expect it to go away on its own. I am too embarrassed to go to the doctor. If so, how long will it take? Any recommendations for a good hemmorhoid cream?
